Vavega has cerebral palsy, and at seven years old cannot yet walk independently. He has a wheelchair, but that doesn't encourage play, or playful interaction with others. It literally took just 10 minutes of his mum patiently replacing his hand on the steering wheel for him to realise he could steer himself, and we were confident he'd be onto the headrest-mounted throttle after not much more practice.
